CTR Youth Missions (Y.U.T.E.S.)

Youth United Through Evangelical Service (Y.U.T.E.S.) is the youth group (12 years to 18 years old) at Christ the Redeemer. We meet every second and fourth Saturday at 5:00 P.M. to coordinate and organize community projects including sock drives and canned food drives. We are responsible for the upkeep of the equestrian trail at the West Wetlands Park, and hold Free Jesus Loves You car washes. We are currently raising funds for a mission trip to Belize in July 2009 to serve God's word and works. Our youth ministers are Rhett Robles and Austin Marshall. We invite you to join us in learning and living God's word.

Daughters of the Holy Cross is an order for women in the Anglican Churches, committed to the extension of Christ's Kingdom through prayer and service. There is a 3 month in depth study grounded in scripture. We serve our parish through Pastoral Care, through holding Quiet retreats, some by being part of the Lay Eucharistic Ministry and we serve others by gathering items for Safe House.  Christ the Redeemer church invites you to be  part of this powerful ministry of intercessory prayer and service.

Healing Ministry

"The Order of St Luke seeks to promote the continuing healing ministry of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. Affectionately known as 'OSL', our mandate is to see the ministry of healing restored to its place in church worship services everywhere. We believe in the healing power of Jesus and we offer healing prayer in the chapel at every Sunday service. We also offer a Thursday evening Healing Service at 6:30pm as well. Call Jo Towner at 329-2992 for more information on training, conferences and healing offerings.

Prayers & Squares

An interfaith outreach ministry formed in 1992 in California . Prayers and Squares combines the gift of prayer with the gift of a hand-tied quilt. Unlike many other organizations that make quilts for charitable causes, the purpose of Prayers & Squares is not to make and distribute quilts, but to promote prayer through the use of quilts. Our motto is: “It is not about the quilt; it is all about the prayers.”

We are Chapter 674 and was formed in August 2007. To date there are approximately 807 chapters.

WHY BE A PART OF P & S?

You Quit focusing on your problems.
You Unite with people who reach out to others.
You Increase your prayer life.
You Learn new quilting patterns and techniques.
You Teach by witnessing to God’s love.

Lay Pastors

God calls every member of the church into ministry. The church is a kingdom of priests set free to minister effectively for Christ. Our priesthood is to each other within the church and to the world. A lay pastor is a ministering servant of God, and, like every Christian, is called to ministry, gifted by the Holy Spirit, and in baptism ordained for ministry (Ephesians 4:11-12).

God supplies each person in the church with the resources for ministry—scripture, spiritual power, God's character, and spiritual gifts. A lay pastor is equipped for his or her ministry by the gifts received from the Holy Spirit.

Lay pastors provide pastoral care, visitation, calls and notes to members of the church family. They are also on hand for crisis care , hospital and homebound visitation. They are trained and supervised by the Senior Pastors.
